Seoul National Cemetery has been the final resting place of more than 150,000 independence fighters, war veterans, and national leaders since its establishment in 1955. It honors the nation’s protectors and acts as a gateway between Korea’s past and present. Chung Hon is a biannual magazine by the first South Korean national cemetery sent out to affiliations and given out to visitors free of charge. In celebration of the 100th issue of Chung-Hon, Seoul National Cemetery issued a pop-up book of its monuments. Drawn, cut, and assembled by hand, the book showcases five beautiful monumental landscapes, including the Memorial Gate and Tower.
1955년 설립된 국립서울현충원은 150,000명이 넘는 순국선열과 호국영령이 영면해 계신 대한민국 최초의 국립묘지입니다. 현충원은 나라를 지키기 위해 헌신하신 유공자분들에게 예우를 다하여 대한민국의 과거와 현재를 잇는 문의 역할을 합니다. 충혼은 국립서울현충원에서 연 2회 발행되는 소식지로, 구독자, 유공자, 정부관계부처에 전달되며, 현충원 방문자 모두에게 무료로 배포됩니다. 충혼의 100호를 기념으로 수제작된 팝업북은 충혼문과 충혼탑을 포함한 국립서울현충원의 주요 기념비들을 5개의 아름다운 북아트로 선보입니다.
