Seoul National Cemetery Map and Signage System
국립서울현충원 지도와 사이니지
Seoul National Cemetery has been the final resting place of more than 150,000 independence fighters, war veterans, and national leaders since its establishment in 1955. It honors the nation’s protectors and acts as a gateway between Korea’s past and present. In 2022, Seoul National Cemetery introduced a new shuttle bus service inside the establishment for the first time. The new system required an overhaul of the maps and signage system of the national park. Designed to be easy to read for all audiences, the renewed map and signage system directly convey the information people need to navigate the park through minimal illustrations.
1955년 설립된 국립서울현충원은 150,000명이 넘는 순국선열과 호국영령이 영면해 계신 대한민국 최초의 국립묘지입니다. 현충원은 나라를 지키기 위해 헌신하신 유공자분들에게 예우를 다하여 대한민국의 과거와 현재를 잇는 문의 역할을 합니다. 2022년 처음으로 도입된 셔틀버스 서비스에 맞춰 국립서울현충원의 지도와 사이니지 시스템의 재정비가 이루어졌습니다. 누구든 쉽게 읽을 수 있도록 설계된 지도와 사이니지는 미니멀한 일러스트를 통해 관람객들이 공원을 방문하는데 필요한 정보를 직관적으로 전달합니다.
