Seoul Open City University (서울시민대학) is a continuing education program run by the City of Seoul, offering primarily free courses to Seoul citizens on a variety of topics. The program was re-established from '서울자유시민대학' to '서울시민대학' in 2021, requiring a new brand identity that would reintroduce the SOCU brand. With the overarching theme of community, the hangul '서울시민' inspired logo emphasizes the people of Seoul while symbolizing continuing education through the repetition of graphic elements. With the flexibility of bright colors and diverse geometric shapes, the new brand identity system aspires to accept students of all ages and backgrounds.
서울시민대학은 서울특별시평생교육진흥원에서 운영하는 평생교육과정으로, 다양한 주제를 다루는 무료 교육을 서울시민에게 제공합니다. 2021년, ‘서울자유시민대학’은 ‘서울시민대학’으로 재정립되었고, ‘서울시민대학’ 브랜드를 다시 소개 할 새로운 브랜딩을 필요로 하게 되었습니다.
공동체를 주요 테마로 하여 ‘서울시민’ 한글에서 모티프를 얻은 로고는 서울시민을 강조함과 동시에 반복되는 그래픽 요소를 통해 평생교육을 나타냅니다. 서울시민대학의 새로운 브랜드 아이덴티티는 밝은 컬러와 기하학적 도형의 유연성을 통해 나이, 배경과 관계없이 모든 학생들을 포용하고자 합니다.
